As a student of the „Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber“ in Dresden Jörg Nassler began to play music in a duo with Karl Heinz Saleh as „Dresdner Gitarrenduo“. The legendary album „Friday night in San Francisco“ being his reason to grab the acoustic guitar and play mainly his own compositions since. His main influences are Flamenco, Latin-American, Oriental and African music, Jazz as well as classical music - World music in the best sense. From 1987 to 2006 he experienced an intensive cooperation with singer/songwriter Gerhard Schöne, for whom he arranged and produced many songs.

The guitar duo Nassler&Schneider existed from 1991 to 2008, was much valued in the guitar scene and is said to have consistent development and no doubt international standing and quality. The musical paths of the duo went separate ways after almost 18 years. Beside working on stage, fondness for studio work more and more came into play. Up to now, 33 CDs with Nassler as the sound engineer or producer have been made. Apart from his own publications critically acclaimed Cds for Gerhard Schöne, Ulrich Thiem, Olaf Stellmäcke, Frank Fröhlich, the „Sneppendalen“, the „Buckijits“ and others and several audio books for Goldmund Publishing house have been produced.

Since 2006 Nassler enters the stage solo with various cord and percussion instruments. This was inspired by concerts with Diane Ponzio (USA), Miguel de Hoyos (Mexico), by the cooperation with Gerhard Schöne of many years and by the musical experiences made on a large number of journeys.

He plays his guitars and with it Arabic lute, sparse electronic effects, flute, drum, bells and rattles in an artistic and humorous way. And so impressive arrangements all but pictures of his journeys form under the eyes and ears of his audience.

A ONE MAN BAND with a class of it‘s own: Ranging from groovy to dreamy, jazzy to ruminant, Andalusian-Moroccan to Californian-Mexican, 4/4 to 10/8 all at the highest stage. Sophisticated, surprising and exciting in his performance, his entertaining stories told in an honest, authentic and humorous way.
